You are invited to a Workforce1 recruitment event on Friday, May 20th at 10:00am!
Workforce1 is recruiting candidates for open positions with several employers.
Shake Shack: Team Members
IHOP: Cook, Servers, Bussers, Hosts
Security Companies: Security Guards
Family Dollar: Assistant Store Manager; Store Manager
Whole Foods: Customer Service, Produce & Prepared Foods Workers
Panda Express: Team Members
Duane Reade: Shift leaders, Stock/Sale Associates
Participants who meet the job requirements will be scheduled for an employer interview. Screening will take place at the Bronx Workforce1 Career Center, 400 East Fordham Road, Bronx, NY. Ask for Eric Milton. Please inform front desk that you are a Veteran and or Veteran spouse.
All customers must:
- Bring copies of a professional, updated resume
- Meet the qualifications for the job you are interested in
- Dress professionally for an interview
- Bring a photo ID (a driver’s license or state ID will work)
Reduce your wait time and paperwork at Workforce1 by registering online first!
Customers who register online can:
- Skip the Workforce1 Introduction to Services session at the Center
- Eliminate most paperwork when they get to the Center
- Access a greater variety of job opportunities online
To register follow these steps:
- Go to nyc.gov/Workforce1 and click on ‘Register for Services’ on the left side.
- Click ‘Register’, then ‘Continue.’ Read ‘Introduction to Services’ and click ‘Register’ at the end.
- First-time users must start an NYC.GOV ID. You’ll be emailed login information right away.
- Log in with your new NYC.GOV ID, and complete an online profile. If you’re already a member, enter your membership card number.
Note: At the bottom of this form, enter the organization that referred you. See below.
- You will get a confirmation email. Bring this to Workforce1 when you come.
At the bottom of the online form, to find your organization:
- Select “Community Partner Referral Source” from the menu next to the question “How did you hear about us?”
- Click on the button that looks like binoculars next to “Organization that referred you”.
- In the ‘Search’ box type the organization name or key words on the other side of this page
- If you don’t find it right away, try searching by program (see illustration below)
- Each organization will have a program or borough next to it in (). Choose the closest match.
