NASA GSFC Office of Education is recruiting high school and undergraduate students to participate in the NASA GISS Summer Internship Programs at the Goddard Institute for Space Studies in NYC.

Apply now to work at the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies and participate in the 2016 NASA GISS Summer Internship Programs that offer paid internship opportunities at GISS and local universities and colleges in and around the New York metropolitan area.
This summer, teams of high school and undergraduate students and faculty work alongside graduate students and the principal investigators (lead scientists) of NASA-funded research projects at universities within a 50-mile radius of New York City (NY, NJ and CT); or at the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) under the mentorship of a NASA GISS scientist.

Summer enrichment experiences include content and research seminars, visits to various
research laboratories and informal education institutions, participation in local and national research summits and a final research summit with participants from other government agencies, such as the National Science Foundation (NSF), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the United States Department of Education (USDE) and the United States Department of Defense (DoD).

• Blowing In The Wind: Can Climate Models Simulate Windblown Soil With Help From Observations.

• Climate Change in the Hudson Estuary – Past, Present, and Future.
• Urban Climate Adaptation Research: New Technologies, Materials & Thinking.

Applications: Deadline for applications is March 1st, 2016. Applicants must be US citizens, at least 16 years old and should reside within a 50-mile radius of the Goddard Institute for Space Studies in NYC. High School and Undergraduate applicants must use the NASA OSSI website to apply.
